Energy Shield insulating sheathing is recommended for hidden installations protected by a 15-minute thermal barrier: indoor and outdoor walls, ceilings, slab-on-ground, roof decks, outdoor siding, cavity walls and firewalls with at least one-hour resistance.

Energy Shield rigid foam insulating panels are made of polyiso with a fibrous surface (metal sheet, Kraft paper, metal sheet) on the top layer and a metal sheet surface on a bottom unprinted layer.
